2017-06-16

The Ventura County Bar Association and Koppel IP Law of Westlake Village will present a seminar, “Intellectual Property Enforcement in China and How Best to Do Business.”

The presentation will explore proactive and progressive enforcement options available in China and cover real-world examples of patent and trademark infringement in China and the appropriate and necessary measures one can implement to save time and money and achieve a successful result. Additionally, the presenters will discuss what avenues a business/brand owner should take to prevent issues at the outset and to capitalize on the growing Chinese market.

Presenters will be Aaron Hurvitz of foreign counsel with Kangxin Partners and Jaye Heybl, managing partner of Koppel IP.

Heybl, a native of Santa Barbara, is a shareholder at Koppel IP, a boutique intellectual property law firm established in 1986. Hurvitz advises clients on aspects of Chinese intellectual property law, focusing on how best to introduce technology into China.

The seminar will begin at noon June 29 at Los Robles Greens’ banquet center, 299 S. Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks. Cost is $35 for bar members and $45 for nonmembers.
