Apple Barred from Citing Injunction in Samsung Trial

A U.S. court has prevented Apple from using an injunction against Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet PC as evidence in a patent-infringement trial that starts on July 30.

Northern District Court of California Judge Lucy Koh ruled that the ban of the tablet PC is only of "limited value" in the upcoming trial, and the "prejudicial effect to Samsung would greatly outweigh any relevance for the jury," Bloomberg News reported Saturday.

Back in late June, Koh granted an injunction against the sale of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Galaxy Nexus smartphone in the U.S.
