TIPO holds its second public hearing on draft amendments to the Patent Act on

On January 15, 2018, TIPO held its second public hearing on draft amendments to the Patent Act. Topics discussed including: filing for a divisional application after a decision of approval pertaining to the parent patent application is rendered; the legal effect of supplementing reasons or evidence provided later than the time limit in the invalidation proceedings; and the term of a design patent. About 100 people showed up for the event. Suggestions made at the public hearing and replies by TIPO have been put on TIPO’s website.
