Chinese tech giant Huawei may presently be working or one or more smart speaker models meant to launch as part of a new product series, according to a pair of trademarks filed by the company with the European Union Intellectual Property Office late last week. The firm moved to secure the terms “iDol” and “Huawei idol home,” having submitted the paperwork to do so this past Friday. Huawei officially related the two trademarks to voice-controlled audio devices and artificial intelligence assistants, as well as a variety of home automation solutions such as Internet-enabled locks, smart lighting, contemporary set-top boxes, and security cameras.
