      Ministry of Agriculture recently released the IPR Strategy on Agriculture. The strategy identifies that IPR innovation, usage, protection and management capacity in agriculture will achieve a new level by 2020. By then, related polices and regulations should be improved, management system be sound, public service be obviously enhanced, IPR awareness be popularized. Also, it aims that intermediary service agents and personnel training will meet needs of development, numbers of independent IPR in agriculture will leap into world’s front and  IPR’s role in supporting agricultural modernization will be given a full play.
       The strategy includes 5 parts such as a preface, guiding ideology, key points, special tasks and safeguarding measures. The strategy identifies the Five-Year aim as following: total independent IPR will see a huge growth, annul applications and granting of plant diversities will leap into world’s front ranks, and more than 10,000  will be filed and more than 7, 000 be granted. More than 800 agricultural products be gained the geographical indication protection, plant inheritance resources be registered and protected.
