China highlights self-generated IPRs in resource utilization technology

On July 26, the National Department and Reform Commission (NDRC), Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other 3 authorities jointly issued the China’s Policy Outline for Resources Comprehensive Utilization Technology, stressing the enhancement of commercialization of such technology, the development of some international advanced technology and equipment, and the facilitation of industry upgrade with advanced and appropriate technology.
China’s efforts in resources utilization and cycled economic development are key to the acceleration of economic transformation, new-style industrialization and the resources-saving and environmental-friendly society. The outline stresses to popularize advanced appropriate technology, promote the commercialization of patent and proven technology and encourage innovation of forefront technology, according to a principal of NDRC.
