Guangdong industry-university-research cooperation fruitful

According to the summary meeting on provincial industry-university-research cooperation held by Guangdong province government on July 28, the project has yielded substantial results since its commencement, and more than 20,000 patents were granted.
In five years, Guangdong province joined hands with Ministry of Education and Ministry of Science and Technology to launch the industry-university-research cooperation at the province level. The fiscal institution at different levels have invested more than 7 billion yuan in accumulation and more than 80 billion yuan were invested by the companies, more than 10,000 experts and professors from 310 universities and 331 scientific research institutions have been attracted into the project. The project has produced 700 billion yuan of the newly increased production value, in accumulation, 110 billion yuan of newly added profits and tax and more than 20,000 patents were granted. Meanwhile, 74,000 technological and management talents were fostered for enterprises.
