Shanghai-Nanjing high-speed rail advances in innovation

A new high speed train service from Shanghai to Nanjing was launched on July 1. The 300km-long rail is full of IPRs, which help China to become a world leader in creation in this area.
The laying of the CRTS-I railway is unballasted track, which places extremely high requirement on construction technology. The Chinese railway builders develop a IPRs-laden rail temperature locking technology. The expansion joints are no more reserved at the middle of the track, which can maintain smooth when the train runs in a high speed. The technology has filed 5 patent applications in China, 3 of which have been granted, according to a principal of the project. (by Cui Jingsi)
