Patent right pledge financing amounted to 25 billion yuan

SIPO recently announced that, as of now, 24 commercial banks and 16 guarantee institutes have had hands on patent rights pledge financing since the pilot project launching. 2000 projects in accumulation have been secured the loan of 25 billion yuan. The campaign attracted IPR administrations, financing institutes and guarantee institutes nationwide, having yearned remarkable output and provided strong support for social and economic development.

A representative from the Patent Administration Department of SIPO said that three groups of 16 cities were approved to carry out IPR pledge financing since the beginning of the pilot project in December 2008.  From January and August this year, 77 projects, 504 patents were granted loans of 4 billion yuan via IPR pledge.
