CARTIER triumphs in first-instance trademark dispute case.

2010-10-04

CARTIER International N.V’s prevails in a trademark dispute after Beijing No.2 Intermediate People’s Court rules that the two defendants, Foshan Yinuo Ceramics Company and Beijing Yulong Yinuo Company, constitute infringement and unfair competition and shall pay 170,000 yuan in damages.

The court held that the two defendants’ claims would not be admitted as they failed to present enough evidences, and should be liable for the unfair competition.

At press time, the defendants had not appealed to Beijing Higher People’s Court.
